School Curriculum Committee comprises following members:

Textbook review meetings begin four months before the start of the next academic session every year. Each textbook is reviewed by the above committee and in the light of feedback received from teachers, parents, students and expert opinion of the
Subject Coordinators, decision for continuing/or not the book, for the next academic session, is taken. Feedback of parents during PTMS, diary
notes and various interactive sessions is put forward by the committee and if the need to change is required all available, options are considered
and after a thorough comparative analysis best book is approved for the next session.
Assessments and Examination
Question papers are made according to Bloom’s Taxonomy keeping in view the Principle of HOT and LOT. Papers are prepared by teachers and
counter checked by Subject Coordinators and Section Heads. Quality, standards and marking schemes are all given due importance. Progress is
shared through PTMs and progress reports. AFL is conducted before the start of new Term.
Parent Teacher Meetings
The Institute organizes parent teacher meetings at specified times during the year. These provide an opportunity for parents to discuss their daughter’s
progress. In addition, parents are always welcome to contact the office to arrange an appointment with particular teachers.
Our Departments
English Department
The Department of English at VNS structures its language development programmes and procedures to facilitate the students in learning and practicing English language arts. The idea is to make the students more creative, expressive and confident users of English. Being the most popular lingua franca, English betters their prospects of progress in an exponentially competitive international community. The purpose is to prepare the students to apply these skill sets in the social, economic and professional contexts .This ability to adapt and interact in a diverse world around them, not only opens career opportunities, but also makes them better global citizens. VNS, thus, aims to make the students’ bilingualism or multilingualism their strength. The faculty at this department is well-qualified and trained in aligning the language class-instruction with the objectives- both short-term and long-term.

ہمارے وقار انساء سکول میں اردو ، انگریزی اور سائنس کے تمام مضامین کے ساتھ ساتھ پلے گروپ سے لے کر اولیول اور بارہویں جماعت کے تمام طلبہ کی دینی تعلیم مع قرآن ناظرہ اور با محاورہ ترجمہ پر بھرپور توجہ دی جاتی ہے۔ وقارالنساءنون گرلز ہائیر سیکنڈری انسٹیٹیوٹ اسلامیات کی تعلیمات کے حوالے سے یہ ذمہ داری احسن طریقے سے ادا کر رہا ہے۔ نصاب کی تعلیمات کے ساتھ ساتھ تربیت پر بھی خصوصی توجہ دی جاتی ہے۔ ناظرہ اوربا ترجمہ قرآن کے حوالے سے سند یافتہ اساتذہ بچوں کو باتجویداور با ترجمہ قرآن کی تعلیم بھرپور طریقے سے دے رہے ہیں۔ اس کے ساتھ ساتھ غیر نصابی سرگرمیوں میں نعت و قرأت کے بین الجماعتی مقابلوں کا اہتمام اور صوبائی سطح پر بین المدارس مقابلہ حسن قرات میں طلبہ کی شمولیت ہمارے ادارے کی اولین ترجیح ہے۔
Mathematics Department
The mission of Mathematics Department is to provide an environment where a diverse student body can learn and become competent user of mathematics. In pursuing this mission, primary departmental functions are the development, dissemination and application of mathematical knowledge in the area of mathematics and statistics. We are teaching students at both basic and advanced levels. The department will contribute to the development of students as mathematical thinkers, to continue to grow in their chosen professions and to be successful after transferring to a college or university.
Home Economics Department
Viqar-un-Nisa Noon Girls Higher Secondary Institute is one of the few schools in Rawalpindi and Islamabad that is offering Home Economics and Food and Nutrition as a subject at SSC and at HSSC Level. The study of Home Economics encompasses a wide variety of subjects, including Food and Nutrition; Clothing and Textiles; Household; Family Economics; Child Development; and Family Relations. Home Economists are often required to have academic preparation in such related areas as Chemistry, Physics, Sociology, Psychology, and Design. Home Economics Department at VNS has senior and experienced faculty who are busy teaching and training students since decades. Girls from Rawalpindi and Islamabad get admission here for the study of this subject.Home Economics Lab consists of a fully equipped hall and spacious kitchen.
The objectives of the home economics lab are to make the students learn

Commerce Department
Commerce Department at VNS offers subjects of Business, Accounting, Economics, Commerce,Banking,Business Math and Statistics at O’Level and at Intermediate level, which provide students a solid ground for different commerce degrees and professions in future. Under the guidance of competent and experienced teachers we aim to equip students with a strong basis of commerce related studies.
Biology Department
The department of Biology at VNS provides excellent preparation and research-oriented facilities to students. We offer a multidisciplinary approach towards the practical understanding of the subject. We, at VNS, strive to create an environment that enables teaching and research to attain high level of excellence in the field of Biology.
Computer Science Department
Department of Computer Science students learn through different mediums and technologies of modern era. Our mission is to provide a quality and value-laden education in Computing Discipline in order to produce scientifically and technologicallycompetent student who are adept to perform a significant role in the continuing transformation of the local and global society. We aim to produce students, who with their knowledge and understanding are committed to make positive contributions to the society.
VNS provides state of the art practical facilities to its students. Three Computer Labs are established in the campus in each section in order to facilitate the students at every level of their studies. In the Arfa Karim IT Lab, core-i5 desktop computer are arranged either in rows so that every workstation has a similar view of one end of the room to facilitate lecturing or presentations or in clusters to facilitate small group work. Every workstation has internet facility to make students use the systems at ease and do their research work. Practicals are conducted to make students familiar with the computer systems and other technologies used in it. State of the art Multimedia Room is available for the students where the teachers can teach them through videos regarding different technologies and subject material.
Chemistry Department
The department of Chemistry at VNS has qualified and experienced faculty and a well-equipped laboratory. The main aim of the teaching of Chemistry is to impart sound knowledge to students in a creative and analytic manner. It encourages the students to become independent learners, broaden their knowledge and develop their capabilities.We made a transition from a basic department, with minimal facilities, to a modern and advance department at VNS.
Pakistan Studies Department
Pak. Studies Department of VNS provides an in-depth understanding of Pakistan through teaching and research about state and society. The program therefore, offers courses of History, Geography and Social Studies. Extra-curricular activities including quizzes, speeches, celebration of events related to country and religion are arranged here regularly. The department is determined to provide teaching excellence by providing quality education. Sharing of knowledge and ideas, whether academic or co-circular, are always appreciated and encouraged.
Fine Arts Department
The department of Fine Arts plays a very important role in improving the aesthetics of the students at VNS. The curriculum focuses on the heritage and its indigenous arts, crafts, architecture, painting, sculpture, drawing, designing, art history and contemporary art theories etc. The aim of fine arts department is to provide students to work independently or in a team environment. The department plans and organizes hands-on activities regularly that encourage active student participation, involvement and teamwork.
